How to start up your own online business!

Good morning! So this is my first ever blog post... I thought the perfect subject would be how to set up your own online business.

I had wanted to do this for a while, but was worried if it didn't take off, which with a bit of consistency it has done pretty well for me so far. Now the obvious first thing to start with would be thinking of a brand name, for me I already had one in mind and have for a while. I went to a domain buying website, which for me was godaddy you can search all kind of domains and if they're available you can go ahead and buy it for the year. Luckily my domain www.hausofm.co.uk was available, I thought it was really important to have .co.uk as my business is based in the UK and I think it looks more professional. The next step then was to add to my domain an email address which you can also buy through godaddy if you like, mine being contact@hausofm.co.uk which goes hand in hand with my domain. 

Now that I had my domain and email address, I needed to find someone I could build my website with, I had a look at quite a few but ultimately I find that Shopify was probably the easiest to use as I'm not really a computer wiz. I built the website completely by myself, that's how easy this is. I then made the usual social media pages like Instagram and Facebook, which I then began to promote my business on. I set up a launch date of the 24th May 2019, I can't believe it's coming up to a year! 

I already had my stock and packaging so as soon as I launched I'd be able to ship out orders and it really is as easy at that. I am slowly building up my followers and making sure to be consistent on Instagram as this is where I get a lot of my sales.
